Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) offers an ABET accredited B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, an ABET accredited B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering, a M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a Ph.D. degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering. The department's 20 full-time faculty includes internationally recognized, research-active experts in intelligent systems, biomedical engineering, electronic materials and devices, advanced computing, and related fields. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology with a preferred start date of August 2025. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Engineering, or other topics in Electrical & Computer Engineering.
  • Service to Department/College/University/professional community is expected.
  • Scholarship/Research expectations include pursuing and receiving external grants, publishing and presenting original peer-reviewed work in reputable journals and conferences, and advising graduate student research.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • A Terminal or Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
  • The required degree must be earned by start date.

  • Evidence of scholarship/creative activities
