Position Announcement

Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications (cloud and/or in-house). Serve as technical expert on development projects. Participate and guide in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.

Summary of Responsibilities

Design, develop and recommend software solutions by collaborating with product owners and customers to evaluate business needs, workflows and data requirements for project requests. Performs complex system analysis and programming tasks requiring advanced techniques.
Plans, conducts, and coordinates the application of information system techniques to existing and future needs. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms using best practices and sound problem-solving techniques.
Provides technical advice and consultation on difficult analysis and programming problems requiring advanced techniques. Reports on project specifications, activities and status and documents software usage, testing and validations procedures.
Expands job knowledge by studying development tools, programming techniques, design patterns, and emerging technologies. Participates in educational opportunities and maintains professional networks.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education totaling 9 years.

Preferred QualificationsSuccessful completion of in-house assessment of job related skills (within 60 days of hire) and a job related certification or 2 years proficiency in a closely related position and successful completion of a career development plan.

Knowledge
Experience with Object Oriented design and programming.
Experience with Web standards and protocols
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, VUE, etc.
Experience with code versioning techniques
Skills
Strong customer service skills
Skill in PHP, JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks, HTML, CSS, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, GitLab
Skills with project management
