The Reports Developer and Cloud Manager position at the University of Alaska (UA) Foundation embraces the latest technology to best serve fundraising operations at the UA Foundation and the universities' development offices. The Reports Developer and Cloud Manager maintains the reports inventory in the Tableau cloud service and creates new data visualizations and business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of data visualization, data modeling (such as in MS SQL, and familiarity), and familiarity with nonprofit fundraising data.
As our Reports Developer and Cloud Manager, you will work with the latest technology in business intelligence and data visualization to meet the critical needs of fundraising staff at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), University of Alaska Southeast (UAS), and the University of Alaska (UA) Foundation. You will be working with the award-winning Foundation Data Services team while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid work (if desired).
To thrive in this role you will have a demonstrated history of data visualization, data modeling (such as in MS SQL), and familiarity with nonprofit fundraising data. The Reports Developer and Cloud Manager will also have excellent listening, communication, and collaboration skills for working with a variety of stakeholders and departments throughout the UA system.

This position is located on the Bragaw Office Complex near the UAA campus in Anchorage, OR on the Troth Yeddha' Campus in Fairbanks, AK. Flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. While there may be an opportunity for remote work dependent on experience, we are seeking applicants who will report to work preferably on-site in either Anchorage or Fairbanks.
This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.

- 2-3 years of advanced experience with the Tableau enterprise platform. Demonstrated mastery of the Tableau platform - Desktop, Server/Cloud, and Mobile. Demonstrated history of Tableau-based solutions. Experience with other business intelligence platforms may be considered.
- 2-3 years required experience in a fundraising environment and use of Raiser's Edge (or similar fundraising platform).
- Demonstrated experience with SQL statements and general familiarity with MS SQL.
- 4-year degree with a background in sciences and data analysis. Experience may substitute.
